The Mandela National StadiumWorld Cup Qualifiers & AFCON Matches
The Mandela National Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Uganda. lt is named after the former SouthAfrican President and anti-apartheid icon, Nelson Mandela. Mandela National Stadium is mainly used forsoccer matches, although other sports such as athletics are also practised. The stadium has a capacityof 45 .202. The stadium is home to the Uganda national football team, known as the Uganda Cranes.
The lighting system at the Mandela National Stadium was upgraded by SCL in 2024 to meet the require-ments of the upcoming 2026 World Cup Qualifiers and AFCON Matches! A total of 160 PCS LED sportslights (1500Watt) have been successfullyinstalled here.
