Lighting Solution

The basketball court has lighting requirements for both the court and the hoop. The following example illustrates a critical location for basketball court lights. It should not be greater than 65 degree of the light aiming angle, and polarizing optical lights are selected. The lights aiming angle  should be small, thus the irradiation range is far. Basketball is an orienteering sport, lights should not be installed on the bottom line of the site (Figure 2), should be installed on both sides of the site. It is more comfortable to position the lights in parallel with the player's sight, so that players, officials, spectators and broadcasters are able to perform and enjoy the match without hindrance.

Careful attention shall be paid to the light positioning with regards to their aiming direction which shall not interfere with the player’s vision, especially when they are shooting at the baskets.
