The ice hockey ground material is in high reflective, and the reflection glare of the ice surface to the audience should be considered when design the lighting. For hockey hall which is not very high, the lights can be positioned on the ceiling. The symmetrical light distribution light is suggested for better uniformity and glare control. The lighting installed on both sides can reach higher vertical illumination and good three-dimensional sense, and it is more convenient for commissioning and future maintenance. But the light installation height has a certain requirement, and the aiming angle of the lighting on both sides should not be greater than 65 degrees for glare control.

It is necessary to increase the lighting of the goal area to eliminate the shadow generated by the  coaming, and meet the lighting requirements near the coaming.
