A Precise Dialogue Between Light and Ice | Seven Continents Illuminate the Ice Arena of the National Sports Training Base in Lintao, Gansu

With the deepening of the call to "engage 300 million people in winter sports," winter sports have spread from the north to the whole country, and from winter to all four seasons. The National Gansu Lintao Sports Training Base—Gansu Province's first national-level comprehensive sports training base—has an average altitude of 1,900 meters and covers an area of 1,000 mu. It not only embodies the dream of developing ice and snow sports in Northwest China, but also achieves a perfect fusion of technology and ice and snow with a professional LED sports lighting system from SCL.

On February 11, 2026, the speed skating competition for the mass participation group of the 16th Gansu Provincial Games kicked off here, with more than 100 skating enthusiasts from eight cities and prefectures speeding across the ice under the lights of SCL. This was a practical test of the venue's lighting system, and even more so, a testament to the stable operation of the Seven Continents sports lighting system.

Located on the Northwest Plateau, the Lintao training base experiences harsh winters. The lighting equipment provided by SCL for the ice rink has undergone rigorous cold resistance and low-temperature testing, ensuring stable and uniform illumination even in extremely cold conditions. No matter how fierce the wind and snow, the lighting on the ice rink remains consistent, guaranteeing the smooth operation of events around the clock.

Sports such as ice hockey and speed skating have extremely high requirements for glare control. SCL's lighting solutions, through precise light distribution design, effectively prevent glare reflected from the ice surface from interfering with athletes. The illuminance in the short track speed skating area is >1000 lux, meeting professional competition standards; the illuminance in the long track speed skating area is >500 lux, meeting professional training needs; the color rendering index Ra≥90 ensures true color reproduction, allowing athletes to accurately identify the ice surface and venue conditions, ensuring a safe and comfortable sports environment.

Since the ice rink was put into use, SCL lighting system has been running stably for three years.
